Works by João Zeferino da Costa
The Brazilian painter João Zeferino da Costa (1840-1915) studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts and from 1868 to 1877 in Rome with Cesare Mariani in the Academy of St. Lucas. On returning to Brazil he became a teacher of great painting masters.
O pintor Brasileiro João Zeferino da Costa (1840-1915) estudou na Academia Imperial de Belas Artes e de 1868 a 1877 em Roma com Cesare Mariani na Academia de S. Lucas. No regresso ao Brasil tornou-se professor de grandes mestres da pintura.
