Gibraltar

The strategic rock of Gibraltar can affect the passage of ships from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. At the end of war of the Spanish Succession (1700-1713) it came into the possession of the United Kingdom under the Treaty of Utrecht.

O rochedo estratégico de Gibraltar pode condicionar a passagem de navios do oceano Atlântico para o mar Mediterrâneo. No final da guerra da Sucessão de Espanha (1700-1713) passou para a posse do Reino Unido pelo Tratado de Utrecht.
