The British Edward Doddwell (ca 1777-1822) went on two trips to Greece dominated by the Ottoman Empire, during which he executed about 400 motifs. Some of them appeared in the work 'Views of Greece, from drawings by Edward Doddwell, Rodwell and Martin, London 1819'.
