Fyodor Bruni in St Petersburg
The Milanese painter Fyodor Antonovich Bruni (1799-1875) studied in Rome before becoming a Russian citizen. In St Petersburg he directed the Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Mosaics. In this city he executed a fresco in the great Orthodox Cathedral of St. Isaac.
O pintor milanês Fyodor Antonovich Bruni (1799-1875) estudou em Roma antes de se tornar cidadão Russo. Em St Petersburg dirigiu a Academia de Belas Artes e a Escola de Mosaicos. Nesta cidade executou pintura a fresco na grandiosa Catedral Ortodoxa de Santo Isaac.
