St Stephen's Lapidation (Lapidação de Santo Estevão)

He is considered the first Christian martyr. According to the Acts of the Apostles (VI: 8), during a sermon in Jerusalem, he was taken outside the city walls and stoned to death.


Terá sido o primeiro mártir Cristão. De acordo com os Actos dos Apóstolos (VI, 8), durante uma pregação em Jerusalém, levaram-no para fora das muralhas da cidade e apedrejaram-no até à morte.
