Ottoman Greece (Grécia Otomana)

Greece was an integral part of the Ottoman Empire from the 16th century to the beginning of the 19th century. Its Islamization is well documented in the engravings executed by the Irish painter Edward Dodwell (1769-1838) during the period he travelled through this country. In some of his works the minarets of the mosques are quite visible.

Do séc. XVI ao início do séc. XIX a Grécia fez parte integrante do Império Ottomano.
