1889 Paris Universal Exposition
The Paris Exposition Universelle of 1889 was intended to commemorate the first centenary of the French Revolution. In Champ de Mars Gustave Eiffel built the tower that holds his name to be used as entrance arch to the exposition site.
A Exposição Universal de Paris de 1889 destinou-se a comemorar o primeiro centenário de Revolução Francesa. No Champ de Mars construiu Gustave Eiffel a torre que conserva o seu nome para servir de entrada ao local da Exposição.
