River Rhine

During the Roman Empire it served as border (limes) separation for legions like Swabians and Vandals and other peoples. Since the industrial revolution in the Ruhr till the 21th century it has been widely used to transport people and goods.

Durante o Império romano serviu como fronteira (limes) de separação das suas legiões de Suevos, Vândalos e outros povos. Da revolução industrial no Ruhr ao séc. XXI tem sido largamente usado para transporte de pessoas e bens.
