Gems

The designation “gems” is attributed to semi-precious stones engraved with varying motives. When these are presented in a relief form, they get the name of cameos.

Atribui-se a designação de gemas às pedras semipreciosas gravadas com variados motivos. Quando estes se apresentam em relevo conhecem o nome de camafeus.
