Life (res gestae) of Emperor Augustus is documented in reliefs found in 1568 in the Field of Mars (Campus Martius) when the Peretiti Palace was built. In the years 1937-1938 Mussolini ordered the reconstruction of the monument.

After Julius Caesar’s death, he fought and defeated the opponents of both sides, thus becoming the first Emperor of Rome.
