Camels

Because of their resistance against thirst, camels are very common animals in the desert areas of North Africa and the Middle East.

Muslim horses and camels by Eugène Fromentin

On planet Earth, each region has different saddle animals. In some Islamic countries, where more or less deserted regions prevail, horses and camels are frequently used. This is shown by Eugène Fromentin (1820-1876) in his paintings.
