Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (II)

This Royal Museum (Rijksmuseum), the largest of the Netherlands, is dedicated to the history of art, especially Dutch art. Nearby, there are the museums of Van Gogh and Stedlijk (city museum).

Amsterdam Rijksmuseum

Amsterdam or dam of the river Amstel, a city of the Province of North Holland, is the capital of the Netherlands. It has several museums, the most important being: Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt House Museum, Stedelijk Museum, and Amsterdam Historical Museum. Rijksmuseum is the most noted for its works of art.

Rijksmuseum Amsterdam

This National Museum of History and Art was founded in 1800 in The Hague. Eight years later King Louis Bonaparte arranged for its transfer to Amsterdam. The collection of paintings includes many of the works of the Dutch 'golden age'.
