Travels by Louis-François Cassas (1756-1827)
The painter Louis-François Cassas (1756-1827) traveled over Asia Minor, the Levant and Egypt between 1784 and 1786 starting from Constantinople. He was part of the group that followed count Choiseul-Gouffier during his visit to the Ottoman Empire. He wrote “A Picturesque Voyage”.
O pintor Louis-François Cassas (1756-1827) viajou pela Ásia Menor, Levante e Egipto entre 1784 e 1786 a partir de Constantinopla. Acompanhava o conde de Choiseul-Gouffier na sua visita ao Império Otomano. Escreveu “Voyage Pittoresque”.
