Voyage in Italy of Abbé St. Non


This French priest, known as Jean-Claude Richard of St. Non (1727-1791) studied in Rome where he met the painters Jean Fragonard and Hubert Robert. When he decided to travel across the kingdoms of Naples and Sicily, he hired some of the best painters to document the remarkable work he would write later.

Este sacerdote Francês de seu nome Jean-Claude Richard de St. Non (1727-1791) estudou em Roma onde conheceu os pintores Jean Fragonard e Hubert Robert. Quando se decidiu viajar pelos reinos de Nápoles e Sicília contratou alguns dos melhores pintores para documentarem a assinalável obra que posteriormente escreveu.
